Day 1: Arrival in Luxembourg City — UNESCO Old Town
Welcome to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Upon arrival at Luxembourg Findel Airport (LUX), your private driver transfers you to your heritage hotel in the Old Town. After settling in, meet your expert local guide for an afternoon walking tour of Luxembourg City’s UNESCO-listed Old Quarter. Walk the Chemin de la Corniche, known as Europe’s most beautiful balcony, offering breathtaking views over the Alzette Valley and the Grund district. Descend into the Bock Casemates, a remarkable 17th-century underground tunnel network carved into the cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage site that once sheltered thousands of soldiers. Continue through the winding streets of the Grund quarter with its medieval architecture, the Neumunster Abbey, and the picturesque bridges spanning the river below. Evening welcome dinner at a Michelin-recommended restaurant in the Clausen district, once home to Luxembourg’s famous brewing tradition.

Day 2: Vianden Castle & Ardennes Countryside
After breakfast, journey north through the stunning Our Valley to Vianden, one of Europe’s most spectacularly sited medieval castles. Built between the 11th and 14th centuries on the foundations of a Roman fort, Vianden Castle was the ancestral home of the Orange-Nassau dynasty and was famously visited by Victor Hugo in 1871. Your guided tour explores the restored halls, the Byzantine Gallery, the grand Knights Hall, and the chapel. Enjoy panoramic views from the castle ramparts overlooking the River Our and the slate-roofed houses of the town below. After the castle visit, take the chairlift for sweeping views of the Ardennes countryside. Lunch at a terrace restaurant in Vianden’s charming town square. In the afternoon, visit the Victor Hugo House Museum, where the great French writer lived in exile, before returning to Luxembourg City. Evening at leisure to explore the city’s acclaimed dining scene.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch | Overnight: Luxembourg City
Day 3: Grand Ducal Palace & Departure
This morning, enjoy a guided visit to the Grand Ducal Palace (seasonal, July-September), the official residence of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg since 1890, with its stunning Flemish Renaissance facade. Visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, a beautiful example of late Gothic architecture housing the tomb of John the Blind, King of Bohemia. Conclude with a stroll through the Place d’Armes, the city’s vibrant social heart, and the Place Guillaume II with its elegant Town Hall. Private transfer to Luxembourg Airport for your departure flight.
