Itinerary Highlights
Day 1-2: Sarajevo
Arrive in Sarajevo. Explore the Ottoman Bascarsija, walk the street where East meets West, visit the Latin Bridge (WWI trigger point), and ride the cable car to Trebevic Mountain. Tunnel of Hope museum. Traditional Bosnian coffee and baklava. Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 3: Mostar & Blagaj
Drive to Mostar. Marvel at the reconstructed Old Bridge, explore the cobblestone Old Town, watch divers plunge 24m into the Neretva. Visit Blagaj Tekke, the Dervish monastery at the Buna spring. Overnight in Mostar.
Day 4-5: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Cross into Croatia. Two days in Dubrovnik (UNESCO): walk the city walls, visit Fort Lovrijenac, ride the cable car to Mount Srd, and explore filming locations for Game of Thrones. Free time for swimming at Banje Beach. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 6-7: Kotor & Budva, Montenegro
Drive the stunning Bay of Kotor. Explore Kotor Old Town (UNESCO), climb the fortress for bay views. Visit Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks. Day trip to Budva — walled old town and Sveti Stefan. Overnight in Kotor.
Day 8-9: Belgrade, Serbia
Cross into Serbia. Two days in Belgrade: Kalemegdan Fortress at the confluence of Danube and Sava rivers, bohemian Skadarlija quarter, St. Sava Temple (one of the world’s largest Orthodox churches), and the vibrant floating river clubs (splavs). Serbian nightlife — one of the world’s best. Overnight in Belgrade.
Day 10-11: Novi Sad & Fruska Gora
Visit Novi Sad, the 2021 European Capital of Culture. Explore Petrovaradin Fortress (“Gibraltar of the Danube”) and the charming Old Town. Excursion to the Fruska Gora monasteries — Orthodox treasures in a peaceful national park. Wine tasting at a local cellar. Return to Belgrade. Overnight in Belgrade.
Day 12: Depart Belgrade
Airport transfer. End of an unforgettable Balkan journey!
