Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Fly Managua to Big Corn Island – Beach Arrival
Morning: Take a scenic 1.5-hour La Costena flight from Managua over Nicaragua’s vast rainforests to Big Corn Island. As you descend, the turquoise Caribbean waters and fringing coral reefs come into view. Upon arrival, you are greeted with warm island hospitality and the rhythms of reggae music.
Transfer to your beachfront hotel on Big Corn Island. After check-in, settle into the island pace of life. Spend the afternoon swimming at Long Bay or Sally Peaches Beach, two of Big Corn’s best beaches with powdery white sand and calm, crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming.
Evening: Enjoy fresh seafood at a beachfront restaurant. Try the local specialty — rundown (coconut fish stew) — while watching the sunset over the Caribbean.

Day 2: Little Corn Island Exploration – Snorkeling Paradise
Morning: After breakfast, take a 30-minute water taxi (panga boat) to Little Corn Island, a car-free paradise where the only transport is on foot. Upon arrival, the absence of roads and vehicles immediately transports you to a simpler way of life. Check into your beachfront cabana.
Afternoon: Guided snorkeling excursion at the best reef spots around Little Corn. The island is surrounded by extensive coral reef systems teeming with marine life. Expect to see:
- Green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles
- Spotted eagle rays gliding gracefully through the water

- White Holes: Coral canyons and swim-through caves at 18-30m depth
