Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek — Arrival
Arrive in Bishkek and transfer to your 4-star hotel. Afternoon orientation walk: Ala-Too Square, Manas Monument, Oak Park. Welcome dinner at a top-rated restaurant featuring Kyrgyz and international cuisine.
Day 2: Ala-Archa National Park — Alpine Adventure
Full day in Ala-Archa National Park, just 40km from Bishkek but a world apart. Hike through the stunning gorge, with trails for all fitness levels. The alpine scenery — juniper forests, rushing rivers, snow-capped 4,800m peaks — is world-class. Picnic lunch in the mountains. Return to Bishkek for the evening.
Day 3: Cholpon-Ata & Issyk-Kul — The Great Lake
Drive to Issyk-Kul Lake (3 hours). Visit Cholpon-Ata’s open-air petroglyph museum — over 2,000 rock carvings. Then enjoy the beach: swim in the clear, slightly saline water of the world’s second-largest alpine lake. Visit the Rukh Ordo cultural complex, an open-air museum exploring religious harmony. Overnight at a 4-star lakeside resort.
Day 4: Burana Tower & Return to Bishkek
Morning at leisure at the lake. Then drive back toward Bishkek, stopping at the 11th-century Burana Tower. Climb the ancient minaret, explore the balbal stone warriors, and visit the small museum. Arrive in Bishkek for a farewell dinner. Overnight in Bishkek.
Day 5: Osh Bazaar & Departure
Morning visit to Osh Bazaar for souvenirs — Kyrgyz honey, dried fruits, felt slippers. Transfer to Manas Airport. Five days, two worlds: the Soviet-era capital and the pristine beauty of Issyk-Kul.
