Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Bucharest to Sinaia — Peles Castle
Morning pickup from your Bucharest hotel. Drive through the scenic Prahova Valley to Sinaia, the “Pearl of the Carpathians.” Visit Peles Castle, the breathtaking Neo-Renaissance summer residence of Romanian royalty, with its 160 rooms adorned with intricate woodcarving, Murano glass, and German stained-glass windows. Afternoon walk through Sinaia Monastery. Continue to Bran village. Overnight in Bran.
Day 2: Bran Castle to Brasov — Dracula’s Legend
Morning visit to the iconic Bran Castle, dramatically perched on a 60-meter rock and forever linked to the Dracula legend. Explore the narrow staircases, secret passages, and rooms filled with Queen Marie’s art and furniture. Afternoon transfer to Brasov. Walking tour of the medieval city: the Black Church (largest Gothic church in Eastern Europe), Council Square, the narrow Rope Street (one of Europe’s narrowest), and the impressive fortified walls. Continue to Sighisoara, one of Europe’s most beautiful and best-preserved medieval citadels. Overnight in Sighisoara.
Day 4: Sighisoara to Bucharest — Saxon Heritage
Morning at leisure in Sighisoara — climb the Clock Tower for panoramic views or browse artisan workshops. Visit Biertan, another UNESCO-listed fortified church and former seat of the Transylvanian Saxon bishops. Scenic drive through Saxon villages and the Carpathian foothills back to Bucharest. Arrive in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
