Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Pristina
Arrive, city walk (NEWBORN, National Library, Mother Teresa Cathedral), welcome dinner. Overnight in Pristina.
Day 2: Pristina to Peja — Into the Mountains
Drive to Peja via Visoki Dečani Monastery (UNESCO frescoes). Afternoon hike in the foothills of the Accursed Mountains. Visit a traditional kulla. Overnight in Peja.
Day 3: Rugova Canyon — Via Dinarica Trail
Full-day hike along the Via Dinarica through Rugova Canyon. This section takes you through alpine meadows with views deep into the canyon. Picnic lunch at a shepherd’s hut. Overnight in a mountain guesthouse.
Day 4: Hajla Peak — Summit Day
Summit Hajla Peak (2,403m), the highest mountain wholly within Kosovo. The panoramic views stretch across Kosovo, Montenegro, and Albania — three countries from one peak. Descend through beautiful valleys. Overnight in the Rugova Valley.
Day 5: Prizren via Mirusha Waterfalls
Drive to Mirusha Waterfalls — a series of 16 cascading pools and waterfalls, Kosovo’s most beautiful natural feature. Swim in the turquoise pools. Arrive Prizren. Afternoon: explore the Old Town. Overnight in Prizren.
Day 6: Sharr Mountains & Brezovica
Drive into the Sharr Mountains to Brezovica, Kosovo’s ski resort that becomes a hiking paradise in summer. Hike to alpine lakes surrounded by wildflowers. Overnight in Prizren.
Day 7: Prizren & Depart
Morning fortress climb, last artisan shopping. Transfer to Pristina Airport.
