Day 1: Arrive Monrovia
Arrive at Roberts International Airport. Transfer to Monrovia. Afternoon: Providence Island (1822 landing of Liberia’s founders), Centennial Pavilion. Welcome Liberian dinner — cassava leaf, jollof rice, palm butter. Overnight Monrovia.
Day 2: Monrovia — Heritage & Markets
Full day: National Museum, Waterside Market (country cloth, lappa fabrics, carvings), the hilltop Ducor Palace Hotel ruins with panoramic ocean views, Masonic Temple. Evening sunset at Thinkers Village beach. Overnight Monrovia.
Day 3: Robertsport — Surf Coast
Morning drive 3 hours to Robertsport. Afternoon surf lesson with the Robertsport Surf Club — warm water, clean breaks, no crowds. Walk the empty beaches. Sunset over Lake Piso. Overnight Robertsport beach guesthouse.
Day 4: Lake Piso & Coastal Village Life
Morning: boat excursion on Lake Piso — Liberia’s largest lake, a Ramsar wetland with migratory birds and traditional fishing settlements. Visit a village and learn about coastal Liberian life. Afternoon: more surfing or beach time. Farewell dinner of fresh catch. Overnight Robertsport.
Day 5: Departure
Morning beach walk. Drive to Monrovia, transfer to Roberts International Airport.
