Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Libreville — Loango
Early departure from Libreville to Loango National Park. Arrive by midday. Afternoon lagoon boat safari — watch elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and forest buffalo along the shoreline. As the sun sets, witness the famous “surfing hippos” — a phenomenon unique to Loango. Overnight in eco-lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Day
Full-day western lowland gorilla tracking expedition with expert BaKota trackers. Trek through coastal forest, swamps, and savanna following fresh signs. Unlike mountain gorilla trekking, this is a true wilderness tracking experience — finding a group is never guaranteed, making the encounter all the more rewarding. Afternoon: visit local village to learn about traditional forest life. Evening campfire. Overnight in eco-lodge.
Day 3: Morning Safari — Return
Dawn forest walk for last wildlife sightings. Return to Libreville for departure or onward travel.
