Evening game drive spotting hippos, elephants, and leopards along the river banks. Overnight in South Luangwa.

Three full days of walking safaris with expert armed guides and trackers. South Luangwa boasts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife. Walk among herds of elephants, buffalo, and antelope. Track lions and the famous Luangwa leopards on foot. Learn bushcraft skills, bird identification (400+ species), and traditional tracking techniques. Sundowner drinks overlooking the river at sunset.

Day 6-8: Lower Zambezi National Park

Transfer to Lower Zambezi National Park along the mighty Zambezi River. Canoe safaris among hippos and crocodiles, with elephants crossing the river channels. Game drives through floodplains teeming with wildlife. Tiger fishing on the Zambezi (catch and release). Stunning views of the escarpment across the river in Zimbabwe.

Hot air balloon safari at dawn (seasonal, optional). Night drives to spot genet, civet, and the elusive pangolin.

Day 11-12: Kasanka Bat Migration (Seasonal — Oct/Nov)

Witness one of Africa’s greatest wildlife spectacles — the annual migration of 10 million straw-colored fruit bats at Kasanka National Park. At dusk, the sky darkens with millions of bats taking flight, the largest mammal migration on Earth. Daytime walks through the miombo woodland to see sitatunga antelope and blue monkeys.
