Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Sarajevo — Collect Car
Arrive at Sarajevo Airport. Pick up your rental car and drive to your hotel. Evening in Bascarsija — stroll the Ottoman bazaar, drink Bosnian coffee, and try cevapi at a traditional restaurant. Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 2: Sarajevo Exploration
Self-guided day in Sarajevo. Visit the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, Latin Bridge, the Tunnel of Hope Museum, and the abandoned bobsled track from the 1984 Winter Olympics. Ride the cable car to Trebevic Mountain. Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 3: Sarajevo to Mostar
Scenic drive south. Stop at Tito’s Nuclear Bunker in Konjic. Continue through the Neretva Canyon to Mostar. Explore the Old Bridge, bazaar, and Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque. Overnight in Mostar.
Day 4: Herzegovina Day Trip
Day trip from Mostar. Visit Blagaj Tekke (Dervish monastery), Pocitelj medieval village, and Kravice Waterfalls (swim in the emerald pools). Drive to Medjugorje if interested in the pilgrimage site. Overnight in Mostar.
Day 5: Trebinje Wine Country
Drive to Trebinje, Bosnia’s wine capital. Visit wineries, the hilltop monastery, and the Old Town. Last cevapi and Bosnian coffee. Overnight in Trebinje.
Day 6: Depart from Dubrovnik
Drive to Dubrovnik Airport (30 min from Trebinje). Return car. Depart.
