Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Larnaca — Transfer to Platres
Welcome to Cyprus! Airport pickup and transfer to Platres, a mountain resort in the Troodos range. Gear check and briefing. Afternoon warm-up walk through the village. Welcome dinner at a village taverna. Overnight in Platres.
Day 2: Mount Olympus Summit Hike (1,952m)
Trek to the summit of Mount Olympus, the highest peak in Cyprus. The Artemis Trail (7km loop) circles the summit at 1,850m through black pine forests with panoramic views across the entire island — on clear days you can see both the Mediterranean and the Taurus Mountains of Turkey. Afternoon visit to Kykkos Monastery. Overnight in Platres.
Day 3: Caledonia Waterfalls Trail
Hike the Caledonia Trail, Cyprus’s most beautiful forest walk. Follow the Kryos Potamos stream through dense pine forest past cascading waterfalls. The trail ends at the Caledonia Falls (12m), one of the highest in Cyprus. Afternoon visit to the painted church of Asinou (UNESCO) with its 12th-century frescoes. Overnight in Kakopetria village.
Day 4: Venetian Bridges & Millomeris Falls
Morning hike along the Venetian Bridges Trail — five medieval stone bridges hidden in the forest, built by the Venetians in the 16th century. Afternoon visit to Millomeris Waterfall (15m), set in a lush gorge. Wine tasting in Omodos village. Overnight near Paphos.
Day 5: Akamas Peninsula — Aphrodite Trail
The classic Aphrodite Trail (7.5km) through the Akamas Peninsula, Cyprus’s last wilderness. Hike from the Baths of Aphrodite along dramatic coastal cliffs to Cape Arnaoutis. Views of the Blue Lagoon below. Afternoon boat trip for swimming and snorkeling in the lagoon. Overnight near Paphos.
Day 6: Avakas Gorge & Lara Bay
Hike through the Avakas Gorge, a spectacular limestone canyon with walls up to 30m high and as narrow as 3m at points. Afternoon at Lara Bay, a protected loggerhead and green turtle nesting beach. Swim in the warm Mediterranean. Overnight near Paphos.
Day 7: Paphos & Depart
Morning visit to Aphrodite’s Rock for a farewell swim. Paphos mosaics and Tombs of the Kings. Transfer to Larnaca or Paphos Airport.
