Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive San Jose
Welcome and overnight in the capital.
Day 2-3: Tortuguero Jungle Canals
Boat journey through Braulio Carrillo NP to Tortuguero. Two days exploring jungle canals by boat, spotting howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, and caimans. Caribbean beach time.
Day 4-5: Arenal Volcano
Return from Tortuguero, transfer to Arenal. Two days of volcano hikes, hanging bridges, Tabacon hot springs, and La Fortuna Waterfall.
Day 6-7: Monteverde Cloud Forest
Scenic transfer via Lake Arenal. Two days in Monteverde: guided reserve walks, zipline canopy tours, coffee plantation visit, night wildlife walk.
Day 8-11: Manuel Antonio National Park
Four days on the Pacific coast in Manuel Antonio — the crown jewel of Costa Rica’s national parks. Hiking trails to pristine beaches, swimming, wildlife watching (monkeys, sloths, toucans, iguanas). Full-day catamaran cruise with snorkeling and dolphin watching. Free day for optional activities: mangrove kayaking, surfing lessons, or simply beach relaxation.
Day 12: Return & Depart
Transfer back to San Jose airport. Depart with memories of four distinct Costa Rican ecosystems.
