Day 1: Arrive in Dili — Welcome to Asia’s Newest Capital
Arrive at Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport in Dili. Transfer to your hotel. Afternoon walking tour of Dili’s waterfront — visit the symbolic Cristo Rei statue for panoramic sunset views over the bay. Welcome dinner featuring fresh grilled seafood at a beachside restaurant.
Day 2: Dili City Discovery — Resistance & Resilience
Full-day exploration of Dili: tour the powerful Resistance Museum chronicling Timor-Leste’s independence struggle, visit Santa Cruz Cemetery (site of the 1991 massacre), explore the colorful Tais Market for traditional woven textiles, and see the Government Palace. Visit the Chega! Exhibition at the former Balide Prison. Evening at leisure along the Dili waterfront.
Day 3: Dili to Com — Coastal Journey East
Depart Dili heading east along the stunning northern coast. Stop at Dollar Beach ($1 Beach) for a swim in crystal-clear waters. Visit the photogenic Pink Church and pass through traditional fishing villages. Arrive at Com Beach, a hidden paradise with white sand and turquoise waters. Overnight in a beach guesthouse.
Day 4: Jaco Island Excursion — Untouched Paradise
Early morning transfer to Valu Beach, then take a local fishing boat to Jaco Island — an uninhabited sand island in Nino Konis Santana National Park. Day 7: Mt Ramelau Sunrise Hike — Summit of Timor
Pre-dawn start (3:30 AM) for the hike to Mt Ramelau (2,963m), Timor-Leste’s highest peak and an important Christian pilgrimage site. Witness the breathtaking sunrise from the summit above a sea of clouds. Visit local coffee plantations en route back to Dili. Farewell dinner in Dili.
