Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Marrakech
Private transfer to your riad in the Medina. Evening at Jemaa el-Fnaa square — snake charmers, storytellers, orange juice stalls, and the smell of grilling merguez. Rooftop dinner overlooking the Koutoubia Mosque.
Marrakech — The Red City
Morning at the Majorelle Garden — Yves Saint Laurent cobalt blue oasis. Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Madrasa. Afternoon souk tour — carpets, lanterns, spices, and leather. Evening cooking class: learn to make tagine.
High Atlas Mountains
Drive through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m) — one of Africa most spectacular roads. Visit the UNESCO kasbah of Aït Benhaddou — Game of Thrones and Gladiator were filmed here. Continue to Ouarzazate — the Hollywood of Africa.
Dades & Todra Gorges
Drive through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Dades Gorge with its Monkey Fingers rock formations, and the Todra Gorge — 300m limestone walls closing in on either side. Hike the canyon floor. Overnight in a kasbah hotel.
The Sahara — Erg Chebbi
Drive to Merzouga. Mount your camel and trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes — the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Watch the sun set over the Sahara, then arrive at your luxury desert camp. Traditional dinner, drums by the campfire, and a sky full of stars.
Fes — The Spiritual Heart
Long drive north through the Middle Atlas cedar forests (look for Barbary macaques). Arrive in Fes by evening. Dinner in a restored riad with live Andalusian music. The most complete medieval city in the Arab world awaits.
Fes Medina Deep Dive
Full-day immersion in Fes el-Bali — the world largest car-free urban area. The tanneries (from a rooftop with mint leaves), the Al-Qarawiyyin University (the world oldest), the blue-tiled Bou Inania Madrasa, and the labyrinth of 9,400 streets.
