Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive St. Lucia — Welcome to Paradise
Arrive at Hewanorra International Airport. Scenic transfer along the west coast to Soufrière. Welcome cocktail with views of the iconic Pitons — Gros Piton and Petit Piton rising dramatically from the sea. Overnight at a resort near Soufrière.
Day 2: Gros Piton Hike — Climb a World Wonder
Early morning start for the Gros Piton hike — 2,619 feet (798m) to the summit. This UNESCO World Heritage site takes 2-4 hours each way. The trail winds through tropical forest with spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. From the summit: a 360-degree panorama of St. Lucia, Martinique to the north, and St. Vincent to the south. Afternoon: well-deserved relaxation at the resort. Overnight near Soufrière.
Day 3: Sulphur Springs & Diamond Falls
Morning at Sulphur Springs, the Caribbean’s only drive-in volcano. Walk through the steaming, bubbling landscape and take a therapeutic mud bath in the mineral-rich waters. Visit Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens with its stunning waterfall that changes color throughout the day due to mineral content. Soak in the old stone mineral baths built by French troops in 1784 for King Louis XVI. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight near Soufrière.
Day 4: Tet Paul Nature Trail & Plantation Tour
Morning hike on the Tet Paul Nature Trail — the “Stairway to Heaven” offers the most photographed view of the Pitons. Visit a working cocoa plantation and see how St. Lucia’s award-winning chocolate is made — from bean to bar. Lunch at a local Creole restaurant. Afternoon visit to the Morne Coubaril Estate, an 18th-century plantation where you can see traditional cassava bread making and coconut processing. Overnight near Soufrière.
Day 5: Catamaran to Marigot Bay — Rum & Reggae
Full-day catamaran cruise along the west coast to Marigot Bay. Stops for snorkeling at Anse Cochon and Anse Chastanet — some of the Caribbean’s best snorkeling with colorful coral and tropical fish. Rum punch flows as you sail. Lunch at a beachfront restaurant in Marigot Bay, the beautiful natural harbor described by James Michener as “the most beautiful in the Caribbean.” Return by sunset cruise with music and dancing. Overnight near Soufrière.
Day 6: Pigeon Island & Rodney Bay
Transfer north to Rodney Bay. Visit Pigeon Island National Park, a 44-acre island connected to the mainland by a causeway. Climb to Fort Rodney for panoramic views and explore the 18th-century British military ruins. Afternoon at Reduit Beach, St. Lucia’s best stretch of white sand. Evening exploring Rodney Bay Village — restaurants, bars, and Caribbean nightlife. Overnight in Rodney Bay.
Day 7: Rainforest Zip-line & Farewell
Morning adventure: zip-line through the St. Lucia rainforest canopy with 12 lines including views of the Pitons. Afternoon at leisure — last beach time or duty-free shopping at Pointe Seraphine. Farewell dinner of St. Lucian Creole cuisine: green fig and saltfish (national dish), bouyon, and cocoa tea. Overnight in Rodney Bay.
Day 8: Depart St. Lucia
Morning at leisure. Transfer to airport.
