Day 1: Arrive Conrad Rangali — Twin Island Luxury
- Seaplane transfer (30 min) to Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, one of the Maldives’ most iconic resorts. Conrad Rangali is unique: it spans two private islands connected by a 500m wooden footbridge. Rangalifinolhu (the larger island, family-friendly) and Rangali (adults-only, housing the overwater villas and the world-famous Ithaa Undersea Restaurant). The footbridge is a destination in itself — walking between two islands over turquoise water, reef sharks and eagle rays visible in the channel below
- Check into your Sunrise Overwater Villa on Rangali Island. The villa features a king bed facing floor-to-ceiling windows, a bathroom with an ocean-view circular bathtub (the bathtub is positioned for maximum sunset views), a private sundeck with plunge pool, and glass floor panels for in-room fish watching
- Afternoon: Explore both islands. The resort has 12 restaurants and bars — a remarkable number for a Maldivian resort. Day 2: Ithaa Undersea Restaurant & Whale Shark Search
- Morning: Whale Shark & Manta Ray Search (supplement) — South Ari Atoll’s resident whale shark population makes this one of the most reliable whale shark destinations on Earth. The resort’s marine biology team uses a spotter plane to locate them. In-water encounter with the world’s largest fish
- Ithaa Undersea Restaurant — The world’s first all-glass undersea restaurant, 5m below the surface. Ithaa means “mother of pearl” in Dhivehi. A 270° panoramic view of the coral garden and its inhabitants. The set lunch menu (cocktail lunch) is the most accessible option. Fish swim past your table, sharks cruise in the background, and you’re eating Michelin-caliber food in what feels like a reverse aquarium — you’re inside, the fish are watching you
- Afternoon: The Spa Retreat — Overwater spa suspended above the lagoon. Glass floor treatment rooms. The signature treatment: Island Fusion (120 minutes) — a Maldivian sand bundle massage combined with a Japanese Shiatsu technique. The treatment ends with an outdoor flower bath on a private deck over the lagoon

Day 3: Sandbank Picnic & Water Sports
- Private Sandbank Experience — Conrad’s signature excursion. A dhoni takes you to an uninhabited sandbank in the atoll. A crew sets up: shade umbrella, sun loungers, a gourmet picnic with champagne, and a marine biologist who takes you snorkeling on a nearby reef. You have the sandbank for 3-4 hours. Just you, the ocean, and the sky. This is the Maldives at its most exclusive
- Afternoon: Water Sports — The resort’s water sports center offers jet skis, Seabobs (underwater scooters that pull you through the water like a dolphin), flyboarding, and parasailing. The Seabob is uniquely fun — dive below the surface, glide alongside fish, and surface like a marine mammal
- Sunset Fishing — Traditional dhoni fishing at sunset. The crew knows the spots: reef drop-offs where snapper and grouper congregate. Hand-line fishing — no rod, no reel, just a line and bait. The thrill of the tug on the line, 30m below, is addictive. The chef prepares your catch for dinner
Day 4: Mandhoo Spa & Farewell Dinner
- Mandhoo Spa Overwater Ritual — The resort’s second spa (yes, there are two). Mandhoo means “wellness” in Dhivehi. The spa specializes in Ayurvedic treatments and holistic wellness. The Overwater Mandhoo Ritual (150 minutes): an Ayurvedic consultation, a warm herbal oil massage (Abhyanga), Shirodhara (warm oil poured in a continuous stream onto the forehead — deeply meditative), and a herbal steam bath. You’ll emerge transformed
- Afternoon at leisure. One last snorkel, one last swim in your villa’s plunge pool, one last walk across the footbridge
- Farewell dinner: Choose between Vilu Restaurant (overwater fine dining, Maldivian-European fusion) or Ufaa by Jereme Leung (celebrity chef Jereme Leung’s modern Chinese restaurant — the best Chinese food in the Maldives, including house-made dim sum, Peking duck, and Sichuan dishes). Day 5: Departure
- Morning: Sunrise from your villa deck. The light at dawn over South Ari Atoll — the water shifts through every shade of blue and turquoise as the sun climbs. Final breakfast: the breakfast buffet at Atoll Market is legendary — fresh tropical fruits, a live egg station, a Maldivian corner (mas huni, roshi, tuna curry), and pastries that rival Parisian bakeries
- Seaplane back to Male. The last aerial view of the atolls — rings of turquoise in deep blue, each one a complete world. You’re different from when you arrived. The Maldives does that
