Arrival in Zurich
Welcome to Switzerland! Private transfer to your hotel on the Limmat River. Evening walking tour of Zürich Old Town — Roman foundations, medieval guild houses, and the world most expensive shopping street, Bahnhofstrasse. Fondue dinner in a historic restaurant.
Lucerne — The Swiss Heart
Morning train to Lucerne (<1 hour). Walk the Chapel Bridge — Europe oldest covered wooden bridge. Lion Monument, Glacier Garden, and the medieval Musegg Wall. Afternoon boat cruise on Lake Lucerne, surrounded by Rigi and Pilatus peaks.
Mount Pilatus — Golden Round Trip
The Golden Round Trip: boat to Alpnachstad, then the world steepest cogwheel railway up Pilatus (2,128m). Panoramic views of Lake Lucerne and the Alps from the summit. Lunch at the mountain-top restaurant, then cable car descent back to Lucerne.
Interlaken & Jungfrau Region
Scenic GoldenPass train to Interlaken, nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Afternoon at Harder Kulm — 1,322m viewpoint with Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau dominating the horizon. Evening stroll along the Aare River with its impossibly turquoise water.
Jungfraujoch — Top of Europe
Cogwheel train to Jungfraujoch (3,454m) — the highest railway station in Europe. Ice Palace carved from the glacier, Sphinx Observatory with views across France, Germany, and Italy, and the Aletsch Glacier — the longest in the Alps. Lunch at 11,333 feet.
Zermatt & the Matterhorn
Train to Zermatt, a car-free Alpine village at the foot of the Matterhorn. Afternoon on the Gornergrat Railway — the Matterhorn looms larger and larger as you climb to 3,089m. Sunset alpenglow on the Toblerone mountain — pure Swiss magic.
Zermatt — Hiking & Alpine Life
Morning hiking the 5 Lakes Trail — each lake reflects the Matterhorn like a mirror. Afternoon at leisure: paragliding, chocolate-making workshop, or the Matterhorn Museum. Farewell dinner of raclette and Swiss wine in a 400-year-old chalet.
Departure from Geneva
Scenic train to Geneva along the Rhône Valley. Afternoon at Lake Geneva and the Jet d’Eau. Private transfer to Geneva Airport. Auf Wiedersehen!
