Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Dominica — Adventure Briefing
Arrive and transfer to your adventure base in the Roseau Valley. Gear check and safety briefing. Evening introduction to canyoning — Dominica is one of the world’s premier canyoning destinations with its volcanic geology creating incredible water-carved canyons. Overnight at adventure lodge.
Day 2: Titou Gorge Canyoning — Pirates of the Caribbean Canyon
Full-day canyoning through Titou Gorge and beyond. Descend through a series of waterfalls, natural water slides, and crystal-clear pools carved through volcanic rock. Jump into deep pools from heights up to 30 feet. Abseil down a 65-foot waterfall. The finale: swim upstream through the narrowest section of Titou Gorge, between towering rock walls, to the hidden waterfall where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. Overnight at adventure lodge.
Day 3: Trafalgar Canyon & River Tubing
Morning: canyon the Trafalgar Falls system — descend the less-visited upper sections with 3 rappels (45ft, 60ft, 80ft) through tropical forest. Afternoon: river tubing down the Layou River, Dominica’s longest river — navigate Class II rapids through a spectacular gorge in a sturdy inner tube. Overnight at adventure lodge.
Day 4: Victoria Falls & White River Canyoning
Full-day expedition to Victoria Falls, one of Dominica’s most remote waterfalls. The approach involves a 45-minute 4×4 drive and a 90-minute hike through pristine rainforest. At the falls: 165 feet of water thundering into a white-water pool. Canyoning descent through the Victoria Falls canyon system with 4 rappels and 6 natural water slides. Overnight at adventure lodge.
Day 5: Boiling Lake Challenge & Wotten Waven Hot Springs
Dawn start for the Boiling Lake Challenge — a fast-paced hike to the second-largest boiling lake on Earth and back. Experienced guides push a strong pace through the Valley of Desolation. Afternoon: recovery soak in the natural hot springs at Wotten Waven, where volcanic water rich in sulfur and minerals creates therapeutic pools. Farewell dinner and adventure slideshow. Overnight at adventure lodge.
Day 6: Depart Dominica
Morning river tubing farewell run. Transfer to airport.
