Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Lima
Private transfer to your hotel in Miraflores overlooking the Pacific. Evening welcome dinner at a top cevicheria — Peru national dish — with a pisco sour in hand.
Lima — Colonial & Modern
Morning at the Larco Museum for pre-Columbian treasures. Afternoon: Lima historic center (UNESCO) — Plaza Mayor, San Francisco catacombs, and Casa Aliaga.
Cusco — Inca Capital
Fly to Cusco (3,400m). Coca tea and rest to acclimatize. Afternoon walking tour — Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), Plaza de Armas, San Pedro market. Evening meal of alpaca steak.
Sacred Valley
Full day in the Sacred Valley: Pisac ruins and artisan market, Ollantaytambo fortress, Moray circular terraces, and Maras salt pools glittering in the afternoon sun.
Inca Trail or Train to Aguas Calientes
Option A: Classic Inca Trail Day 1 (4-day permit required). Option B: Scenic train through the Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes. Evening hot springs beneath the stars.
Machu Picchu
Pre-dawn bus up to the Sun Gate. Watch the mist lift over the lost citadel as the sun illuminates the terraces. Private guided tour of the temples, then free time to explore. Train back to Cusco in the evening.
Rainbow Mountain
Day hike to Vinicunca (5,200m) — a mountain striped pink, gold, and turquoise by mineral deposits. One of the most stunning high-altitude landscapes on Earth. Return to Cusco for a farewell pachamanca dinner.
