Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Honiara
Airport transfer. Afternoon: orientation — Central Market, National Museum, American Memorial with views over Iron Bottom Sound. Welcome dinner. Overnight in Honiara.
Day 2: Guadalcanal Battlefields
Full-day guided tour: Bloody Ridge (Edson’s Ridge) — the pivotal 1942 battle site with original foxholes, Mount Austin Japanese Memorial, Vilu War Museum (extraordinary WWII relic collection), Bonegi Beach wreck snorkeling (Japanese transport in shallow water, covered in corals), and the Matanikau River crossing. Evening: panpipe performance. Overnight in Honiara.
Day 3: Savo Island & Wreck Snorkeling
Boat trip to Savo Island — snorkel pristine coral gardens, visit geothermal cooking vents, see megapode bird fields. Afternoon: snorkel additional Iron Bottom Sound wrecks depending on conditions. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Honiara.
Day 4: Departure
Morning market for wood carvings. Airport transfer.
