Day 1: Arrive Lilongwe — Transfer to Cape Maclear

Airport pickup in Lilongwe. Scenic 4-hour drive through the central African countryside to Cape Maclear on the southern shores of Lake Malawi. Settle into your beachfront lodge. Welcome drink at sunset on the golden sand beach. Overnight at Lake Malawi.

Day 2: Snorkeling & Island Hopping

Morning boat trip to the islands of Lake Malawi National Park (UNESCO). Snorkel in crystal-clear waters among the famous Lake Malawi cichlids — over 1,000 species in every color imaginable, found nowhere else on Earth. Visit Thumbi Island West.
