Itinerary Highlights
Day 1-2: Libreville & Pongara
Arrival, city tour, and Pongara National Park exploration with leatherback turtle nesting beaches (seasonal). Forest elephant sightings on the coast.
Day 3-4: Ivindo National Park — Kongou & Mingouli Falls
Fly to Ivindo National Park. Visit Kongou Falls — often called “Africa’s most beautiful waterfall,” a 3km-wide cascade system dropping 56m through pristine rainforest. Boat to Mingouli Falls. Wildlife: western lowland gorillas, chimpanzees, forest elephants. Birdwatching for the grey-necked rockfowl, one of Africa’s most sought-after birds.
Day 5-6: Lopé National Park
Mandrill tracking (troops up to 1,300) and ancient petroglyph viewing. Forest walks and wildlife viewing.
Day 7-8: Loango National Park
Surfing hippos, beach elephants, whale watching (seasonal), boat safaris on Iguela Lagoon.
Day 9-10: Return to Libreville
Flight back. Farewell dinner and departure.
