Days 1-3: Antigua & Lake Atitlan
Arrive Antigua. Orientation walk, optional Pacaya Volcano hike. Day 2: Lake Atitlan — boat to San Juan La Laguna, women’s weaving cooperative, Maya homestay. Day 3: explore more lake villages — San Pedro, Santiago Atitlan (Maximón shrine).
Days 4-5: Chichicastenango & the Road to Tikal
Chichicastenango market — Maya shamans, incense, and textiles. Drive to Flores via Guatemala’s jungle interior. Overnight Flores on Lake Petén Itzá.
Day 6: Tikal Sunrise
3:30am departure. Temple IV sunrise. Full guided exploration of Tikal’s five temples, Great Plaza, and Lost World complex. Return to Flores.
Days 7-8: Belize — San Ignacio
Cross into Belize. San Ignacio: cave tubing through Nohoch Che’en, Xunantunich Maya ruins with El Castillo pyramid. Local Garifuna drumming experience.
Days 9-10: Caye Caulker & Barrier Reef
Water taxi to Caye Caulker. Hol Chan Marine Reserve snorkeling — nurse sharks, stingrays, sea turtles. Day 10 free: Blue Hole scenic flight, manatee watching, or The Split beach.
Days 11-12: Mexico Caribbean & Depart
Cross into Mexico. Playa del Carmen evening. Day 12: transfer to Cancun Airport.
