Day 1: Arrive Vágar — Sørvágsvatn & Tórshavn
Arrive Vágar Airport. Immediate exploration: hike to Trælanípa cliff for the famous optical illusion where Lake Sørvágsvatn appears to float above the Atlantic Ocean. See Bøsdalafossur waterfall cascading into the sea. Transfer to Tórshavn, the world’s smallest capital. Evening walking tour of Tinganes, the 825 AD Viking parliament site with its red wooden buildings and grass roofs. Welcome dinner of Faroese specialties. Overnight Tórshavn.
Day 2: Streymoy — Saksun & Tjørnuvík
Drive north across Streymoy Island. Visit the storybook village of Saksun nestled in a tidal lagoon beneath sheer mountains. Walk across the lagoon at low tide to a black sand beach. Continue to Tjørnuvík, where the 71-meter sea stacks Risin and Kellingin rise from the Atlantic. Afternoon hike above the village for sweeping views of the northern islands. Return via the octagonal church at Haldórsvík. Evening at leisure to explore Tórshavn’s Nordic restaurants. Overnight Tórshavn.
Day 3: Eysturoy — Gjógv & Slættaratindur
Cross the sub-sea tunnel to Eysturoy Island. Morning in Gjógv, named for its 200-meter sea gorge—one of the most beautiful villages in the Faroes. Option to attempt Slættaratindur (880m), the highest peak in the archipelago, with a 360-degree panorama stretching to Iceland on clear days. Day 4: Kalsoy or Vestmanna — Choose Your Adventure
Choice day: Option A — ferry to Kalsoy Island for the iconic Kallur Lighthouse hike (the James Bond No Time to Die location), a dramatic ridge walk to a white lighthouse with views across the northern islands. Option B — boat tour through the 600-meter Vestmanna bird cliffs, gliding into sea grottoes beneath thousands of nesting seabirds. Evening return to Tórshavn.
