Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Arrival in Libreville
Airport pickup and transfer to Radisson Blu. Enjoy Libreville’s oceanfront setting and prepare for the wilderness ahead.
Day 2: Libreville to Loango
Morning flight or helicopter transfer to Loango National Park. Settle into Loango Lodge. Afternoon introductory 4×4 game drive along coastal savannas and forest edges.
Day 3: Gorilla Trek Day
Full-day gorilla trekking expedition in the Moukalaba-Doudou sector. Track habituated western lowland gorilla families through dense rainforest. Picnic lunch in the forest.
Day 4: River & Lagoon Safari
Morning river safari on the Mpivie River — crocodile spotting and birdwatching. Afternoon boat excursion on the Ndougou Lagoon for hippo sightings.
Day 5: Beach & Forest Exploration
Morning forest walk with Ba’aka guides, learning traditional medicinal plant uses. Afternoon at Tassi Beach — the only place in Africa where elephants regularly walk on beaches.
Day 6: Return & Departure
Final morning at leisure in Loango. Helicopter or flight back to Libreville. International departure.
