Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Port Moresby Arrival
Welcome at Jacksons International Airport. Transfer to your hotel. Afternoon visit to the National Museum and Parliament House with its distinctive Haus Tambaran architecture.
Day 2: Fly to Mount Hagen
Scenic flight over the rugged Highlands to Mount Hagen. Check into your lodge. Afternoon visit to a local village to meet community elders and learn about Highlands customs.
Day 3-4: Mount Hagen Cultural Show
Two full days at the legendary Mount Hagen Sing-Sing. Witness the breathtaking spectacle as tribes in full ceremonial dress perform traditional dances, songs, and rituals passed down through generations. Photograph the iconic Huli Wigmen with their elaborate feathered headdresses and the ghostly Asaro Mudmen in their clay masks.
Day 5: Highlands Village Trek
Guided trek through the Wahgi Valley. Visit coffee plantations and sweet potato gardens. Meet local communities away from the festival crowds and experience everyday Highlands life.
Day 6: Return & Departure
Fly back to Port Moresby. Connect to international departure.
