Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival — Balaclava
Arrive in Mauritius and transfer to Hotel Ravenala Attitude in Balaclava, a stunning 4-star resort set on a pristine beach with river views. The name “Ravenala” comes from the traveler’s palm, symbolic of Mauritian hospitality. Settle into your room, explore the resort’s lush gardens, and take your first dip in the pool or sea. Welcome dinner at the resort.
Day 2: Port Louis & Pamplemousses
Morning visit to Port Louis: the bustling Central Market, the atmospheric Chinatown, and the Caudan Waterfront. Continue to the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden to see the famous giant water lilies and the talipot palm. Afternoon return to Balaclava for water sports, beach time, or a spa treatment at the resort’s award-winning spa.
Day 3: Trou aux Cerfs & Grand Bassin — Volcano & Sacred Lake
Visit the dormant Trou aux Cerfs volcano crater with panoramic views. Then to Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao), the spiritual heart of Mauritian Hinduism.
