Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Grand Baie — Welcome to the North
Arrive in Mauritius and transfer to your hotel in Grand Baie, the island’s premier beach resort town in the north. Settle in and take an evening stroll along the vibrant waterfront with its restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Watch the sunset over the bay — the perfect introduction to island life.
Day 2: Pamplemousses Garden & Port Louis
Morning visit to the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden, home to giant water lilies (Victoria amazonica), talipot palms that flower once every 30-60 years, and trees planted by world leaders. Continue to Port Louis for a tour of the capital: the Central Market, Caudan Waterfront, and the Blue Penny Museum (famous for the world’s rarest stamps). Lunch at a local restaurant featuring Mauritian fusion cuisine.
Day 3: Trou aux Cerfs & Black River Gorges
