Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Beirut — Evening Food Walk
Beirut food walk through Mar Mikhael: manakish (za’atar flatbread), shawarma, and arak (anise spirit). Overnight in Beirut.
Day 2: Beirut Markets & Cooking Class
Morning at Souk el Tayeb (Lebanon’s first farmers market). Cooking class: kibbeh nayyeh (raw lamb), fattoush, and mouhalabieh. Afternoon: Beirut food tour — falafel, Armenian sujuk sandwiches, ashta ice cream. Overnight in Beirut.
Day 3: Batroun Coast & Seafood
Coastal drive north. Batroun: swim in the natural rock pools, visit the lemonade stands (Batroun’s famous citrus drink). Lunch at a seaside restaurant: sayadiyeh (fish with spiced rice) and fresh-caught sea bass. Visit a boutique winery: IXSIR (voted one of the world’s best winery architectures). Overnight in Batroun.
Day 4: Bekaa Valley Wine Trail
Full day in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon’s wine heartland. Visit Château Ksara (Lebanon’s oldest winery, est. 1857) — tour the 2km Roman cave network used for aging wine. Visit Château Musar, Lebanon’s most famous winery that continued production throughout the Civil War. Visit Massaya winery with lunch in the vineyards. Overnight in Beirut.
Day 5: Jezzine & Chouf Mountains
Mountain drive to the Chouf region. Visit Deir el Qamar and Beiteddine Palace. Traditional mountain lunch at a family farm. Afternoon: Jezzine for its famous handcrafted cutlery and waterfalls. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Beirut.
Day 6: Depart Beirut
Transfer to airport.
