Day 1: Arrive Muscat
Arrive Muscat. Afternoon: Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (world’s second-largest handwoven carpet). Mutrah Souq — frankincense, silver, halwa. Sunset at the Corniche. Welcome dinner. Overnight Muscat.
Day 2: Coastal Adventure — Sinkholes, Wadis & Dhow Port
Morning: swim in Bimmah Sinkhole’s turquoise water. Hike into Wadi Shab — narrow canyon, crystal pools, swim through keyhole to hidden waterfall. Afternoon: Sur’s traditional dhow-building yards. Evening in a local Omani restaurant. Overnight Ras al Jinz area.
Day 3: Turtles & Wahiba Sands Desert
Pre-dawn turtle watching at Ras al Jinz (green turtles nesting). Breakfast. Drive into Wahiba Sands: dune bashing in 4×4, camel ride, sunset over the golden sea of sand. Bedouin dinner, stargazing, desert camp. Overnight Wahiba Sands.
Day 4: Desert to Mountains — Nizwa Fort & Jebel Akhdar
Sunrise over the dunes. Drive to Nizwa: massive 17th-century fort, the silver souq, and date market. Afternoon: climb Jebel Akhdar (2,000m) for terraced orchards, rose water distilleries, and cliff-edge villages with views across the Hajar range. Drive back to Muscat. Farewell dinner. Overnight Muscat.
Day 5: Departure
Morning at leisure. Transfer to Muscat Airport.
