Itinerary Highlights
Day 1-2: Arrival & Checkout Dives
Arrive Koror. Two orientation dives at Chandelier Cave and Ngerchong Inside — warm-up dives to check equipment and buoyancy. Chandelier Cave is a unique cavern dive with four air-filled chambers where stalactites hang above the water line. Overnight in Koror.
Day 3-4: Blue Corner & Blue Holes
Four dives over two days at Palau’s signature sites. Blue Corner: hook into the reef and watch the aquarium show — grey reef sharks, Napoleon wrasses, schooling barracudas, eagle rays. Blue Holes: descend through four vertical shafts in the reef ceiling, emerging at 90 feet on the wall face where the blue opens into the void. Overnight in Koror.
Day 5-6: Peleliu Express & Peleliu Wall
Two days of Peleliu diving. Peleliu Express: strong current dive where sharks and pelagics ride the flow. Peleliu Wall: sheer vertical drop covered in massive sea fans and soft corals. Visit Peleliu Corner for potential sightings of oceanic sharks. Overnight in Koror.
Day 7-8: German Channel & New Drop-Off
Manta ray cleaning station dives at German Channel — December to April is peak season when 10+ mantas can be at a single station. New Drop-Off: a pristine wall with giant barrel sponges, black coral trees, and pygmy seahorses. Overnight in Koror.
Day 9: Iro Maru WWII Wreck
Two wreck dives on the Iro Maru, a 470-foot Japanese oil tanker sunk in 1944. It sits upright at 85-130 feet, fully intact with its massive engines, galley, bridge, and bridge telegraph still in place. One of the Pacific’s best wreck dives. Overnight in Koror.
Day 10-11: Ulong Channel & Outer Reefs
Four dives: Ulong Channel drift, Shark City (30+ sharks circling), Siaes Tunnel (a 150-foot tunnel through the reef), and Siaes Corner with its massive gorgonian forest. Final dive: Turtle Cove for hawksbill and green turtles. Overnight in Koror.
Day 12: Depart Palau
24-hour no-fly surface interval. Morning at leisure. Transfer to airport.
