Day 1: Almaty — Arrival
Arrive in Almaty and transfer to your 4-star hotel. Afternoon walking tour: Panfilov Park, the Zenkov Cathedral, and the Green Bazaar — a sensory overload of dried fruits, nuts, spices, and Kazakh delicacies. Evening at Kok-Tobe Hill via cable car for sunset views over the city with the snow-capped Tian Shan backdrop. Welcome dinner.
Day 2: Shymbulak & Medeu — Mountain Day
Take the cable car to Medeu, the world’s highest skating rink. Continue to Shymbulak Ski Resort at 2,260m. Summer visitors can hike through alpine meadows; winter visitors enjoy world-class skiing. The views of the Trans-Ili Alatau range are breathtaking in any season. Return to Almaty for the afternoon: Central State Museum and the Golden Man.
