Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nadi
Arrive at Nadi International Airport. Transfer to your accommodation. Afternoon orientation meeting with your Intrepid leader. Walk to the nearby Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple, the largest Hindu temple in the Southern Hemisphere. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant in Nadi town. Overnight in Nadi.
Day 2: Sigatoka Sand Dunes Hiking
Morning transfer to the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park. Start your first hike across Fiji’s dramatic wind-swept dunes, some rising to 60 meters. Learn about the archaeological significance of this landscape where Lapita pottery, stone tools, and human remains have been found dating back thousands of years. Continue along the coast to Natadola Beach for a refreshing swim. Overnight in Sigatoka area.
Day 3: Navua River Rafting Adventure
Full-day white-water rafting expedition on the Navua River. Navigate through the “Grand Canyon of Fiji” — over 70 rapids passing through a deep gorge with walls reaching 40 meters high, draped in tropical rainforest. Stop at cascading waterfalls for swimming breaks. Picnic lunch on the riverbank prepared by your guides. Overnight in Pacific Harbour.
Day 4: Pacific Harbour to Suva — Rainforest Hike
Morning hike through Colo-i-Suva Forest Park near Suva. Trek through lush tropical rainforest dotted with natural swimming holes and waterfalls. Your guide will point out native flora including magnificent mahogany and pine trees. Afternoon visit to the Fiji Museum in Suva’s Thurston Gardens. Evening free to explore Suva’s culinary scene. Overnight in Suva.
Day 5: Suva to Savulelele Waterfall
Morning drive to the interior of Viti Levu. Hike through dense rainforest to reach the magnificent 50-meter Savulelele Waterfall. Swim in the refreshing natural pool at the base of the cascade. Picnic lunch surrounded by tropical nature. Visit a local village to learn about traditional Fijian life and enjoy a kava ceremony. Overnight in a village homestay.
Day 6: Nananu-i-Ra Island — Snorkeling Paradise
Morning transfer to the coast and boat trip to Nananu-i-Ra Island. This volcanic island off the northern coast of Viti Levu is a snorkeling paradise. Afternoon guided snorkeling over pristine coral reefs. Spot colorful reef fish, sea turtles, and if lucky, manta rays. Sunset beach barbecue. Overnight in beachfront bure on Nananu-i-Ra.
Day 7: Nananu-i-Ra — Free Exploration
Free day to explore Nananu-i-Ra at your own pace. Options: more snorkeling, sea kayaking around the island, windsurfing, hike to the island’s hilltop for 360-degree views of the Bligh Water, or simply relax in a hammock between coconut palms. Evening farewell dinner with your group, sharing stories of your Fijian adventures. Overnight in beachfront bure.
Day 8: Return to Nadi & Departure
Morning boat transfer back to the mainland. Drive to Nadi with a stop at the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. Last-minute souvenir shopping. Arrive at Nadi International Airport for departure, carrying memories of Fiji’s incredible landscapes above and below the water.
