Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Stanley
Arrival and Stanley orientation: colorful houses, whalebone arch, Liberation Memorial, Historic Dockyard Museum. Overnight at Stanley.
Day 2: Volunteer Point — King Penguins
Full-day 4×4 expedition to the king penguin colony at Volunteer Point. 4-6 hours with king, gentoo, and Magellanic penguins. Picnic among the penguins. Overnight at Stanley.
Day 3: Battlefields Tour
Full-day guided tour of the 1982 conflict sites: Goose Green (where the longest battle was fought), San Carlos Water (the British landing site), and Mount Tumbledown (the final battle). Visit the Argentine cemetery at Darwin and the British memorial at San Carlos. Your Falkland Islands guide shares personal perspectives on the conflict. Overnight at Stanley.
Day 4: Gypsy Cove & Cape Pembroke
Morning walk to Gypsy Cove, a beautiful beach with a Magellanic penguin colony just 6km from Stanley. Visit the historic Cape Pembroke Lighthouse (1855), the easternmost point of the Falklands. Afternoon at leisure in Stanley. Farewell dinner. Overnight at Stanley.
Day 5: Departure
Morning at leisure. Transfer to Mount Pleasant Airfield.
