Day 1: Manaus — Into the Jungle

Pickup from your hotel in Manaus. Drive to the port and board a speedboat heading up the Rio Negro. Pass the famous Meeting of the Waters, where the dark Rio Negro and the sandy-colored Rio Solimões flow side by side without mixing for 6km — a breathtaking natural phenomenon. Arrive at your jungle lodge deep in the rainforest. Afternoon canoe trip through the igapó (flooded forest) looking for sloths, monkeys, and exotic birds. Jungle walk at sunset to learn about medicinal plants and survival techniques. Overnight at the jungle lodge with the sounds of the rainforest — frogs, insects, and night birds.

Day 2: Full Day Jungle Trek & Piranha Fishing

Pre-dawn canoe to experience the rainforest waking up — howler monkeys calling, toucans flying overhead, and macaws crossing the sky. After breakfast, a full-day jungle trek with an expert local guide. Learn to identify edible fruits, find fresh water in vines, and recognize animal tracks. Your guide shows you the Brazil nut tree, rubber trees, and giant kapok trees towering 60m high. Afternoon: piranha fishing in the creeks. These razor-toothed fish are surprisingly feisty. Your catch becomes part of tonight’s dinner — grilled piranha is a local delicacy. Night excursion by canoe to spot caimans (Amazonian alligators) — their eyes glow red in the torchlight.

Day 3: Native Village Visit & Pink Dolphin Encounter

Morning visit to a riverside indigenous community. Learn about their traditional way of life, cassava flour production, and handicrafts. Participate in a blowgun demonstration. Afternoon boat trip to see the legendary pink river dolphins (boto cor-de-rosa). These intelligent, curious creatures often approach boats — swimming with them in the river is an unforgettable experience. Sunset over the Rio Negro — the golden light on the black water is magical. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Sunrise Canoe & Return to Manaus

Dawn canoe excursion for final wildlife spotting — this is when the rainforest is most active. After breakfast, transfer back to Manaus by speedboat. Visit the Manaus Opera House (Teatro Amazonas), a stunning Belle Époque building constructed with materials imported from Europe during the rubber boom. Transfer to airport or hotel. You leave having experienced the world’s greatest rainforest in its most authentic form.
