Arrive Lagos. Afternoon: National Museum (Nok terracottas, Benin bronzes), Freedom Park. Evening: Lekki Conservation Centre canopy walkway at golden hour. Overnight Lagos.
Day 2: Lagos to Kano — Ancient City
Morning flight to Kano. Afternoon: explore the 14km Kano City Walls (UNESCO tentative list, built 12th century), the Gidan Makama Museum in a 15th-century palace, and the Emir’s Palace. Evening: Kurmi Market — unchanged since the 15th century. Overnight Kano.
Day 3: Kano Dye Pits & Jos Plateau
Morning: Kofar Mata indigo dye pits — 500-year-old techniques still in use. Afternoon drive to Jos (5 hours) through changing landscapes. Overnight Jos.
Day 4: Jos Plateau Adventure
Full day: hike Shere Hills (highest point on the Jos Plateau), visit the Jos Museum (outstanding Nok culture collection, 1000 BC-300 AD), Riyom Rock (spectacular balanced boulder), and Assop Falls. Overnight Jos.
Day 5: Jos to Abuja — Departure
Drive to Abuja (3 hours). Visit Zuma Rock. Transfer to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport for departure.
