Day 1: Arrival in Santo Domingo — Private Colonial Welcome

Private airport greeting at Las Americas International Airport (SDQ). Transfer to your boutique hotel in the Colonial Zone. Afternoon private guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Zona Colonial: Calle Las Damas, the first paved street in the New World, Plaza de Espana with its statue of Nicolas de Ovando, the imposing Alcazar de Colon, and the majestic First Cathedral of the Americas. Welcome dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the colonial skyline.

Day 2: Santo Domingo — Los Tres Ojos Caves & Cultural Immersion

Morning private excursion to Los Tres Ojos National Park. Descend into an otherworldly system of limestone caves featuring three stunning underground lakes with crystal-clear turquoise water. Learn about the Taino indigenous people who considered this a sacred site. Afternoon visit to the Museum of Dominican Man and the vibrant Mercado Modelo for artisan crafts. Evening rum tasting at a historic colonial mansion.

Day 3: Santo Domingo to Puerto Plata — Damajagua Waterfalls

Morning private transfer north to Puerto Plata. En route, stop at the 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua (27 Charcos) — a spectacular series of cascading waterfalls tucked into the hills. Day 5: Cabarete — Beach & Water Sports Day

Full day at leisure in Cabarete. Day 6: Cabarete to Rio San Juan — Lagoon & Hidden Paradise

Morning transfer east along the coastal road to Rio San Juan. Visit Gri Gri Lagoon, a protected mangrove lagoon where you’ll take a private boat tour through tunnels of mangroves to reach hidden caves and a secluded natural pool. Day 7: Cayo Arena — Paradise Island Excursion

Full-day private excursion to Cayo Arena (also known as Cayo Paraiso), a tiny sandbank island surrounded by some of the Dominican Republic’s best coral reefs. Morning boat transfer from Punta Rucia. Snorkel in crystal-clear waters teeming with tropical fish, explore the shallow sandbar, and relax on this picture-perfect paradise island. Beach picnic lunch. Afternoon visit to the nearby Monte Cristi mangroves. Return to Rio San Juan for farewell dinner.

Day 8: Rio San Juan to Santo Domingo — Departure

Morning at leisure in Rio San Juan — one last swim or beach walk. Private transfer back to Santo Domingo with scenic stops along the way.
