Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Chisinau
Airport transfer. Evening: Chisinau walking tour — Stefan cel Mare Park, the Cathedral and Triumphal Arch, the Parliament, and a welcome wine tasting at a local wine bar. Overnight in Chisinau.
Day 2: Orheiul Vechi & Cricova Underground City
Morning: Orheiul Vechi — 15th-century cave monastery carved into limestone cliffs, traditional farmhouse museum, and views of the Raut River gorge. Lunch at Butuceni agro-pension. Afternoon: Cricova Winery — 120km of underground galleries, the National Wine Collection (1.3M bottles), electric train ride, and premium wine tasting. Overnight in Chisinau.
Day 3: Purcari & Milestii Mici — Royal Wines & World Records
Morning: Purcari Winery — the Queen of England’s Moldovan wine since the 19th century. Tour the historic cellars and taste Negru de Purcari and Rosu de Purcari. Afternoon: Milestii Mici — Guinness World Records for the largest wine collection (2M bottles, 55km galleries). Drive through the underground “wine city.” Farewell dinner. Overnight in Chisinau.
Day 4: Departure
Morning: Central Market for wine and souvenirs. Airport transfer.
