Day 1: Arrive Tallinn
Welcome to Estonia! Airport transfer. Evening walk through the cobblestone streets of the medieval Old Town. Welcome dinner at a medieval merchant’s house with spiced wine. Overnight in Tallinn.
Day 2: Tallinn — Complete Medieval City
Upper Town: Toompea Castle, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Kohtuotsa viewing platform. Lower Town: Town Hall Square, the oldest pharmacy in Europe (1422), St. Olaf’s Church, Great Guild Hall. Walk the city walls with views over red roofs to the sea. Afternoon at the Estonian Open Air Museum showing 18th-20th century rural life. Overnight in Tallinn.
Day 3: Lahemaa National Park
Full-day Lahemaa: manor houses (Palmse, Sagadi, Vihula), the captains’ village of Käsmu, the Viru Bog nature trail on boardwalks, and Altja fishing village. Lunch at a traditional tavern. Watch for moose, beavers, and brown bears. Overnight in Tallinn.
Day 4: Tartu — Estonia’s Soul
Journey to Tartu. Visit the university (founded 1632), the student lock-up in the attic, the Toy Museum, and the Estonian National Museum — an architectural marvel on a former Soviet airbase runway. Explore the bohemian Supilinn neighborhood. Overnight in Tartu.
Day 5: South Estonia & Riga
Visit the Seto region’s traditional farm-museums. Drive to Latvia. Afternoon arrival in Riga. Evening in the Old Town. Overnight in Riga.
Day 6: Riga — The Metropolis of the Baltics
Morning: Old Riga including Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church (panoramic tower), and the House of the Blackheads. Afternoon: Art Nouveau walking tour on Alberta and Elizabetes streets. Riga Central Market. Evening Latvian beer tasting at a local microbrewery. Overnight in Riga.
Day 7: Sigulda & Gauja National Park
Day trip: Turaida Castle and Museum Park, Gutman’s Cave, Krimulda Manor, and the Sigulda bobsleigh track. Ride the aerial cable car over the Gauja River valley. Overnight in Riga.
Day 8: Rundāle Palace & the Hill of Crosses
Visit the magnificent Rundāle Palace (Baltic Versailles) with its French garden. Cross into Lithuania. Stop at the Hill of Crosses — hundreds of thousands of crosses create an unforgettable spiritual landscape. Evening arrival in Klaipeda. Overnight in Klaipeda.
Day 9: Curonian Spit & Nida
Ferry to the UNESCO Curonian Spit. Visit Juodkrante’s Hill of Witches. Continue to Nida — climb the towering Parnidis Dune, visit Thomas Mann’s summer house, and walk the Baltic Sea beach. Overnight in Klaipeda.
Day 10: Kaunas — Design Capital
Journey to Kaunas via the picturesque Žemaitija region. Explore Laisvės Avenue, the interwar modernist architecture (UNESCO tentative list), the Ninth Fort memorial, and the Devil’s Museum. Afternoon at the open-air Rumsiskes ethnographic museum. Overnight in Kaunas.
Day 11: Trakai & Vilnius

Day 13: Vilnius at Leisure
Free day to explore Vilnius on your own: alternative fashion district, Literatų Street project, amber galleries, or an optional trip to the Soviet bunker museum. Farewell dinner at a traditional restaurant with folk music. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 14: Depart Vilnius
Transfer to airport. The three Baltic sisters will stay in your heart forever.
