Day 2: Oslo to Flåm — The Epic Railway Journey
Morning: Bergen Railway across the Hardangervidda plateau — Europe’s highest, a treeless wilderness where wild reindeer roam. At Myrdal, transfer to the legendary Flåm Railway — one of the world’s steepest, descending 863m in 20km past thundering waterfalls and mountain farms clinging to impossible ledges. Arrive in Flåm, a fjord village surrounded by mountains. Overnight in Flåm.
Day 3: Nærøyfjord Cruise to Bergen
Morning: electric catamaran through Aurlandsfjord into the Nærøyfjord — UNESCO-listed, 17km of sheer mountain walls rising 1,700m with waterfalls cascading from snow fields above. The fjord narrows to 250m at its tightest point — you feel you could touch both walls. Bus through Stalheimskleiva’s 13 hairpin bends to Voss, then train to Bergen. Overnight in Bergen.
Day 4: Bergen — Hanseatic Wharf & Seven Mountains
Full day in Norway’s most beautiful city. Morning: Bryggen — the UNESCO-listed Hanseatic wharf of colorful wooden merchant houses from the 14th century. The medieval alleyways behind conceal artists’ workshops and hidden courtyards. Fløibanen funicular to Mount Fløyen for the city’s defining panorama — Bergen, fjords, and the North Sea islands. Afternoon: visit Troldhaugen, the home of composer Edvard Grieg, overlooking the lake that inspired his music. Overnight in Bergen.
Day 5: Departure
