Day 1: Arrive Cagliari — Sardinia’s Capital
Touch down at Cagliari Elmas Airport. Transfer to your hotel in the historic Castello district — a medieval walled quarter perched on a limestone hill overlooking the Gulf of Cagliari. The city was founded by the Phoenicians around 800 BC and has been ruled by Carthaginians, Romans, Pisans, Aragonese, and Piedmontese. Day 2: Cagliari — Phoenician to Modern
Morning: explore Cagliari’s layers of history. Visit the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, home to the extraordinary Bronzetti Nuragici — small bronze figurines from Sardinia’s mysterious Nuragic civilization (1800-500 BC), a Bronze Age culture that built over 7,000 stone towers (nuraghi) across the island. Day 7: Nuraghe and Gallura Wine Country
