Day 1: Arrive Norfolk Island — Welcome to Paradise

Fly to Norfolk Island (direct from Sydney, Brisbane, or Auckland). Transfer to your accommodation. Day 2: Convict History & Kingston UNESCO Site

Full-day exploration of Kingston, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Georgian settlement. Norfolk Island was one of the British Empire’s most brutal penal colonies (1788-1855), and Kingston preserves the finest collection of Georgian convict-era buildings in the Southern Hemisphere. Tour the Old Military Barracks, the Commissariat Store, the New Gaol, and the cemetery where convicts lie beneath headstones inscribed with their crimes. Visit the Pier Store Museum documenting the island’s extraordinary history — penal colony, Pitcairn resettlement, and modern self-governance.

Day 3: Bounty Heritage & Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama

Morning: visit the Bounty Folk Museum, a quirky private collection of mutiny memorabilia, whaling artifacts, and island history. Visit Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama, a 360-degree painted panorama telling the complete story of the Bounty mutiny — from Tahiti to Pitcairn to Norfolk Island. Afternoon: visit Bloody Bridge, a convict-built stone bridge where legend says a mutinous overseer was entombed in the mortar. Overnight.

Day 4: Island Nature & Coastal Wonders

Full-day nature tour. Morning: guided bush walk through the National Park. Norfolk Island’s isolation has created unique ecosystems — 40 plants found nowhere else on Earth, including the iconic Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria heterophylla), which can grow to 60 meters. Visit Captain Cook Lookout and Anson Bay for spectacular coastal views. Afternoon: glass-bottom boat tour at Emily Bay, arguably the South Pacific’s most beautiful safe swimming beach. Snorkel among the vibrant coral reef in the protected lagoon.

Day 5: Progressive Dinner & Island Life

Morning at leisure — explore Burnt Pine, the island’s commercial center. Afternoon visit to Hilli Goat Farm for cheese tasting. Evening: the legendary Norfolk Island Progressive Dinner. Visit three different Norfolk homes for entree, main, and dessert. Experience authentic island hospitality and local cuisine — pilhi (a traditional Polynesian-influenced dish of mashed banana and coconut cream), coconut bread, and Norfolk Blue beef.

Day 6: Mount Pitt & World’s End

Morning climb to the summit of Mount Pitt (319m), the island’s highest point, for 360-degree views over the entire island and the vast Pacific. Visit the Captain Cook Monument at the spot where Cook first sighted the island in 1774. Afternoon: visit Puppy’s Point and the “World’s End” lookout — dramatic cliffs falling vertically to the pounding surf below. Visit the island’s only winery, Two Chimneys Wines, for a tasting. Farewell dinner at one of the island’s excellent restaurants.

Day 7: Final Morning & Departure

Last morning for souvenir shopping — Norfolk Island stamps, local honey, and Norfolk Pine wood carvings. Transfer to airport. A VAT-free shopping opportunity before departure.
