Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Providenciales
Arrive at Providenciales International Airport (PLS). Your driver transfers you to your resort on Grace Bay. Step onto the famous Grace Bay Beach — 12 miles of impossibly soft white powder sand and water so turquoise it looks Photoshopped, but isn’t. Welcome sunset cocktail at a beachfront bar. Overnight at Grace Bay resort.
Day 2: Grace Bay Beach Day & Island Orientation
Morning at leisure on Grace Bay, consistently voted the World’s #1 Beach. The barrier reef 1.5 km offshore creates a calm lagoon with bath-warm water and visibility exceeding 30 meters. Afternoon orientation of Providenciales (“Provo”): visit the Caicos Conch Farm, the world’s only conch farm, to learn about this Caribbean icon. Visit the Junkanoo Museum to experience the Bahamian-influenced festival culture. Evening: conch dinner at Da Conch Shack, a beloved beachfront institution. Overnight at resort.
Day 3: Coral Reef Snorkeling & Smith’s Reef
Full-day snorkeling adventure. Morning boat excursion to the barrier reef — the third-largest coral reef system in the world — for world-class snorkeling with sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, and vast schools of parrotfish in kaleidoscopic colors. Visit a shallow shipwreck now transformed into an artificial reef. Afternoon at Smith’s Reef, one of the Caribbean’s best shore-accessible snorkel sites. Evening at leisure. Overnight at resort.
Day 4: North & Middle Caicos — The Wild Islands
Day trip by ferry to North Caicos and Middle Caicos — the “Garden Islands,” dramatically different from developed Provo. Explore the lush green landscapes of North Caicos with its flamingo-dotted ponds. Visit Wade’s Green Plantation, an 18th-century Loyalist cotton plantation with well-preserved ruins. Cross the causeway to Middle Caicos. Walk through the Conch Bar Caves — the largest dry cave system in the Caribbean island chain, used by Lucayan Indians for centuries. Visit Mudjin Harbour, one of the Caribbean’s most dramatic coastlines where limestone cliffs, hidden caves, and a tiny offshore island create a photographer’s paradise. Lunch at a local family-run restaurant. Evening return to Provo. Overnight at resort.
Day 5: Whale Watching or Diving (Seasonal)
January-April: full-day whale watching expedition to Salt Cay. The Turks Island Passage is a major migratory corridor for North Atlantic humpback whales, and sightings of mothers with calves are common. May-December: alternative two-tank scuba diving excursion to the famous “Wall” — a vertical drop-off beginning at 12 meters that plunges into the 2,100-meter-deep Turks Island Passage, featuring black coral, pelagic species, and the occasional passing shark. Overnight at resort.
Day 6: Chalk Sound & Taylor Bay
Morning visit to Chalk Sound National Park, a brilliant turquoise, shallow lagoon dotted with hundreds of tiny rocky islets — a kayaker’s paradise with water so milky-blue it glows. Kayak through the sound spotting bonefish, juvenile lemon sharks, and ospreys. Afternoon at Taylor Bay Beach, a local secret with waist-deep, bath-warm water extending 200 meters from shore — perfect for floating and wading. Farewell dinner at a cliff-top restaurant in the upscale Turtle Cove district. Overnight at resort.
Day 7: Departure
Morning at leisure for one last Grace Bay swim. Transfer to PLS airport.
