Itinerary Highlights
Day 1-4: Mahé — The Main Island
Arrive at Seychelles International Airport on Mahé, the largest island. Day 2: explore Victoria, one of the world’s smallest capitals — the colorful Sir Selwyn Clarke Market, the clock tower, and the botanical gardens. Days 3-4: beach time at Beau Vallon, snorkeling at Bay Ternay Marine Park (150+ fish species), and hiking the Morne Seychellois National Park trails. Visit Mission Lodge for panoramic views. Overnight at a beachfront hotel on Mahé.
Day 5-8: Praslin — Vallée de Mai
Scenic ferry to Praslin. Explore Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the legendary “Garden of Eden.” This primeval palm forest is home to the coco de mer palm, producing the world’s largest and most suggestively shaped seed. Walk among six endemic palm species and spot the rare black parrot. Days 6-8: Anse Lazio — consistently voted one of the world’s most beautiful beaches — and Anse Georgette. Snorkeling, swimming, and pure relaxation. Overnight on Praslin.
Day 9-12: La Digue — Timeless Island
Short ferry to La Digue, where life moves at ox-cart pace. No cars, just bicycles and traditional ox-carts. Explore Anse Source d’Argent — the most photographed beach on Earth, with its giant granite boulders, pink sand, and crystal-clear water. Day trips to nearby islands: Grand Soeur, Petite Soeur, and Coco Island for world-class snorkeling. Sunset at Anse Coco. Overnight in a charming guesthouse on La Digue.
Day 13-16: Curieuse & Cousin Island Excursions
Boat excursion to Curieuse Island — walk among giant Aldabra tortoises (some over 100 years old) and visit the turtle nursery. Day trip to Cousin Island, a nature reserve managed by BirdLife International, home to the Seychelles warbler and nesting hawksbill turtles. Days 14-16: return to Mahé for final beach days — Anse Intendance, Anse Royale, and the secluded Petite Anse. Farewell dinner on the beach.
Day 17: Depart Mahé
Final morning swim. Transfer to airport. Au revoir, paradise!
