Day 4: Tiwanaku — Pre-Columbian Wonder

Day trip to Tiwanaku (UNESCO) — the capital of a powerful pre-Inca civilization that flourished from 300-1000 AD. See the Gate of the Sun, the Akapana Pyramid, and the semi-subterranean temple with its carved stone heads. Visit the on-site museum with the 7-meter Bennett Monolith. Overnight in La Paz.

Day 5: Lake Titicaca & Copacabana

Drive to Copacabana on the shores of Lake Titicaca (3,812m) — the world’s highest navigable lake. Visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, Bolivia’s most important pilgrimage site. Boat to Isla del Sol (Sun Island) — Inca legend says the first Incas, Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo, emerged from this island. Walk ancient Inca trails. Overnight on Isla del Sol.

Day 6: Isla de la Luna & Return

Morning hike to the northern end of Isla del Sol — visit the Chincana ruins, the Sacred Rock, and the Inca Staircase. Boat to Isla de la Luna (Moon Island) with its Inca nunnery ruins. Return to Copacabana. Overnight in Copacabana.

Day 7: Return to La Paz & Valle de la Luna
