Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi
Morning pickup from Entebbe Airport or Kampala hotel. Scenic drive southwest through Uganda’s rolling green hills, tea plantations, and local villages. Stop at the Equator crossing for photos. Continue through the Kigezi Highlands — known as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi by evening. Overnight near Bwindi.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Day
Early breakfast. Transfer to park headquarters for the 7:45 AM briefing. Begin your gorilla trek into Bwindi’s ancient rainforest. Led by expert trackers and armed rangers, navigate through dense vegetation to find one of the habituated gorilla families. Spend the precious hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Afternoon at leisure — optional forest nature walk. Overnight near Bwindi.
Day 3: Return to Kampala/Entebbe
Leisurely breakfast. Morning optional Batwa cultural experience. Begin the return journey to Kampala/Entebbe with lunch en route. Arrive by late afternoon. Transfer to airport or hotel. Safe travels!
