Day 1: Arrive Dubai — Welcome to the City of Gold
- Arrive at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Your private guide meets you with a welcome sign. Dubai — from a small pearling village in the 1960s to today’s global metropolis of 3.5 million, home to the world’s tallest building, largest mall, biggest man-made island, and the only 7-star hotel — is a city that defines ambition
- Private transfer to your 4-star hotel in Bur Dubai or Deira. Evening at leisure
- Optional: Marina Dhow Cruise Dinner ($65/person) — a 2-hour cruise on a traditional wooden dhow along Dubai Marina, with international buffet, live Tanoura dance, and spectacular views of the illuminated skyscrapers, Ain Dubai (world’s largest observation wheel), and luxury yachts

Day 2: Old Dubai — Souks, Creeks & Heritage
- Morning in Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood (Bastakiya Quarter) — a beautifully preserved district dating to the 1890s, with narrow alleyways, wind-tower architecture (the original Gulf air-conditioning system), art galleries, and the Dubai Museum inside Al Fahidi Fort (built 1787, Dubai’s oldest existing building)
- Cross Dubai Creek on a traditional abra (wooden water taxi, AED 1 fare — one of Dubai’s best bargains). The creek — the historic lifeline that made Dubai a trading hub connecting Mesopotamia to the Indus Valley — divides the city into Bur Dubai (south) and Deira (north)
- Explore the Gold Souk — one of the world’s largest gold markets, with over 300 retailers displaying an estimated 10 tons of gold at any given time. Even if you’re not buying, the window displays — including the world’s largest gold ring (64 kg, certified by Guinness World Records) — are spectacular
- Wander through the Spice Souk — narrow alleyways filled with aromatic sacks of saffron (Iranian, the most prized), frankincense (from Oman and Somalia), dried rose petals, za’atar, sumac, and traditional medicinal herbs. The vendors’ calls of “Looking is free!” are part of the experience
- Lunch at a traditional Emirati restaurant in Al Seef district — try machboos (fragrant spiced rice with slow-cooked lamb or chicken, the UAE’s national dish), luqaimat (crispy fried dough balls drizzled with date syrup), and karak chai (strong tea with cardamom, saffron, and evaporated milk — the unofficial national drink)

Day 3: Modern Dubai — Burj Khalifa & The Future
- Morning at Burj Khalifa — at 828 meters (2,717 ft, 163 floors), the world’s tallest structure since 2009. Your ticket to the At The Top observation deck on the 124th-125th floors (452m) includes:
- High-speed elevator (10 m/sec, reaching 124th floor in ~60 seconds)
- Floor-to-ceiling glass walls with 360-degree views — on clear days you can see the coast of Iran across the Persian Gulf
- Interactive displays showing the tower’s construction (12,000 workers at peak, 330,000 cubic meters of concrete, enough to lay a sidewalk from Dubai to London)
- Outdoor terrace (124th floor) — the “floating in the sky” sensation
- Explore Dubai Mall — the world’s largest shopping mall by total area (1.1 million sq m, over 1,200 retail outlets). Beyond shopping: the massive Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo (with a 270-degree walk-through tunnel containing 33,000 aquatic animals, including 400+ sharks), an Olympic-size ice rink, and the spectacular indoor waterfall with fiberglass diving figures
- Visit Museum of the Future (exterior viewing) — the torus-shaped architectural marvel covered in Arabic calligraphy, named “the most beautiful building on Earth” by many. The calligraphy, written by Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej, features quotes from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid about vision and the future
- Walk along the Dubai Water Canal — a 3.2 km waterway with a mechanical waterfall cascading over a bridge (it stops when boats pass through). Evening at Souk Al Bahar, an Arabesque marketplace with views of the Burj Khalifa and the cascading fountain
- Evening: Dubai Fountain Show — the world’s largest choreographed fountain system. Water jets shoot up to 150m (500 ft) — higher than a 50-story building — synchronized to classical, Arabic, and world music. The show runs every 30 minutes from 6 PM, with the Burj Khalifa illuminated as the backdrop

Day 4: Desert Safari — Dunes, Camels & Arabian Nights
- Morning at leisure — enjoy the hotel pool or explore independently. Optional: Palm Jumeirah Monorail ($15) — ride along the trunk of the iconic palm-tree-shaped artificial island to Atlantis The Palm, passing luxury resorts and the crescent breakwater
- Afternoon: Your Desert Safari adventure begins around 3 PM with hotel pickup in a 4×4 Land Cruiser. Drive 45 minutes to the red sand dunes of the Lahbab Desert (also known as “Big Red”):
- Dune Bashing — 20-30 minutes of thrilling 4×4 driving over towering dunes with a skilled driver. The dunes of Lahbab reach heights of up to 100m and have a distinctive red-orange color from iron oxide content
- Sunset photography stop — the classic shot of the sun setting over rolling red dunes. Your driver can help with “jump shots” and panoramic photos
- Camel ride — a 10-15 minute circuit on these “ships of the desert.” Camels (Camelus dromedarius) have been central to Arabian life for over 3,000 years — their ability to travel 40+ km per day without water made the caravan trade routes possible
- Sandboarding — strap a board to your feet and surf down the dunes (similar to snowboarding but warmer)
- Falcon display — traditional Bedouin falconry, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage practice. Falcons can spot prey from over 2 km away and dive at speeds exceeding 320 km/h
- Evening at the Bedouin-style desert camp:
- Traditional Arabic welcome with Arabic coffee (gahwa) and dates
- Henna hand painting by local artists
- Shisha corner (apple and mint flavors, optional)
- BBQ buffet dinner — grilled lamb chops, chicken tikka, kebabs, fresh salads, hummus, tabbouleh, and kunafa for dessert
- Live entertainment: Tanoura dance (whirling dervish with illuminated skirt), belly dance performance, and fire show
- Return to hotel around 9:30 PM under the desert stars

Day 5: Palm Jumeirah, Marina & Departure
- Morning visit to The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah — the best viewpoint for Atlantis The Palm. Stroll along the palm-fringed waterfront promenade with views of the Arabian Gulf
- Drive through Dubai Marina — the “Manhattan of the Middle East,” a 3.5 km canal city with over 200 residential towers. Stop at JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) Walk for a final beachside coffee with views of the Ain Dubai observation wheel on Bluewaters Island
- Optional visit to Madinat Jumeirah Souk — a modern re-creation of a traditional Arabian marketplace, with winding waterways, abra rides, and the iconic view of Burj Al Arab (the sail-shaped “7-star hotel” that put Dubai on the luxury map in 1999)
- Private transfer to DXB Airport. Ma’a salama — go in peace!
