Day 1: Arusha → Ngorongoro Crater → Karatu
- Early morning departure from Arusha (6 AM). Drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approximately 3 hours). Descend into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera — the morning mist rising off the crater floor, the steep walls towering 600m above
- Full-day game drive in the crater — one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on Earth in one of the most spectacular settings. Track the Big Five (black rhinos are the most challenging, but the crater offers excellent chances), watch lions lounging in the grass, hippos wallowing in the pools, and flamingos lining the soda lake. Day 2: Karatu → Serengeti National Park
- Morning drive to the Serengeti, game drive en route through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Cross into the Serengeti through Naabi Hill gate
