Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Belgrade
Welcome to Serbia! Airport transfer. Evening walk through Kalemegdan Fortress at sunset, where the Danube meets the Sava. Traditional Serbian dinner in the bohemian Skadarlija quarter. Overnight in Belgrade.
Day 2: Belgrade — The White City
Full-day tour: St. Sava Temple, Museum of Yugoslav History (Tito’s mausoleum), Knez Mihailova Street, and the vibrant Republic Square. Afternoon in Zemun district with its Habsburg-era charm. Optional river cruise. Overnight in Belgrade.
Day 3: Tara National Park & Drina River
Drive west to the Drina River. Photograph the famous Drina River House. Hike in Tara National Park with viewpoints over the Drina Canyon. Overnight in a mountain lodge.
Day 4: Sargan Eight & Visegrad
Ride the historic Sargan Eight railway. Visit Kusturica’s Drvengrad wooden village. Cross into Bosnia to visit the UNESCO-listed Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge in Visegrad, immortalized in Ivo Andric’s Nobel Prize novel. Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 5: Sarajevo — East Meets West
Full day in Sarajevo: Ottoman Bascarsija, Latin Bridge, Tunnel of Hope, and the multicultural heart of the city. Bosnian coffee ceremony and cevapi lunch. Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 6: Mostar & Blagaj
Drive to Mostar. Walk the Old Bridge and explore the cobblestone bazaar. Visit the magical Blagaj Tekke Dervish monastery at the Buna spring. Drive to Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 7: Dubrovnik — Pearl of the Adriatic
Full day in Dubrovnik. Walk the city walls, visit the Rector’s Palace and Franciscan Monastery. Cable car to Mount Srd. Afternoon free for swimming or Game of Thrones tour. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 8: Kotor Bay, Montenegro
Cross into Montenegro. Drive the stunning Bay of Kotor. Visit Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks. Explore Kotor Old Town (UNESCO). Climb the fortress for bay views. Overnight in Kotor.
Day 9: Durmitor National Park & Return
Drive through Durmitor National Park (UNESCO) with its glacial lakes and the Tara River Canyon (Europe’s deepest). Return to Belgrade. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Belgrade.
Day 10: Depart Belgrade
Airport transfer. Dovidjenja!
