Itinerary Highlights
Day 1: Arrive Riyadh
Arrive at King Khalid International Airport. Private transfer to Novotel Suites Riyadh Olaya. Evening orientation drive through the modern capital. Overnight in Riyadh.
Day 2: Riyadh — Ancient & Modern
Explore the contrasts of Riyadh. Morning: visit Diriyah, the birthplace of the Saudi state — a UNESCO World Heritage site of mud-brick palaces and winding alleys. Ascend the Kingdom Centre Sky Bridge (300m high) for panoramic city views. Visit the National Museum and Al Masmak Fortress, where the kingdom was unified in 1902. Overnight in Riyadh.
Day 3: Red Sea — Fly to Jeddah
Fly to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s cosmopolitan coastal city. Afternoon: Red Sea cruise — 6 hours of snorkeling over coral reefs, fishing, and water activities. Overnight at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Jeddah.
Day 4: Jeddah — Al-Balad & Corniche
Morning: explore Al-Balad, Jeddah’s historic old town — a UNESCO World Heritage site with coral-stone buildings, carved wooden balconies (rawasheen), and the 7th-century souk. Visit the Floating Mosque (Al Rahma) — seemingly suspended on the Red Sea at high tide. Afternoon stroll along the Jeddah Corniche. Overnight in Jeddah.
Day 5: Fly to AlUla — Desert Adventure
Fly to AlUla, Saudi Arabia’s most spectacular region. Afternoon 4×4 off-road adventure through the Sharaan Nature Reserve: dramatic sandstone canyons, Rainbow Rock, and desert landscapes. Overnight at Cloud 7 Residence AlUla.
Day 6: Hegra — Saudi Arabia’s Petra
Full day exploring Hegra (Madain Saleh), Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage site. A Nabataean city second only to Petra — 111 monumental tombs carved into sandstone outcrops, including the iconic Qasr al-Farid (“The Lonely Castle”). Visit Elephant Rock (Jabal AlFil) at sunset. Evening: Hegra Candlelit Classical Concert under the stars. Overnight in AlUla.
Day 7: AlUla Old Town & Depart
Morning visit to AlUla Old Town — a labyrinth of 900 mud-brick houses abandoned in the 1980s. Browse the AlManshiyah farmers’ market for local dates, honey, and handicrafts. Airport transfer for departure.
